b) Are military-influenced tactics ACTUALLY used in policing today (notice the word, INFLUENCED)? To respond to this question, you’ll want to look for information about how military-influenced tactics are used in actual cases. There are several ways to make this. The first is to search for news stories that you can use as DATA. If you choose this route, please look for cases that disconfirm, as well as confirm, your personal assumptions. The second is to search for academic and/or government data on their use. You might consider the frequency of use, the contexts/justifications for use, level of success, etc..
