The author is able to reflect on the various dynamics that are vital in optimizing the outcomes associated with operations management. The ideas presented in this particular book are a reflection of experiential research conducted by the author. In every business situation, there are critical perspectives that are put into consideration in order to identify a number of aspects such as the reason why firms do exist and also why companies tend to show differences in the way they handle different issues and also why some firms are more progressive than others. This particular source helped me to have a broader and a clearer picture on this issue of operation management. The authors in this particular source are forthcoming on issues pertaining the critical perspectives that are associated with business and also the management of different businesses. This particular source was very effective since the authors have a wide range of experience; their experiment has supplemented my knowledge on this particular aspect of operation management. From this particular source, it is clear that the author has been able to offer information in a fashionable and a beneficial manner. Therefore, I can say that this particular source was very beneficial in relation to the topic of operations management. Pycraft is aware on the application of operations management; the source has been able to explain the various aspects of operations management such as utilization of resources, management of finances and quality control to name a few. This particular source has been able to respond to how productivity can be improved in an organization.

An example of a company that has implemented the perspective of Operations Management to its maximum best is the Apple Company. This particular company is a multinational electronics and computer software company. In this particular case, operations management can be described as activities undertaken by a company in order to manage its assets with the aim of improving on production and distribution of its services or products. From an Operations Management perspective, Apple has been able to offer a competitive margin and also it has been very innovative in the international market. What is most interesting is the fact that Apple has been able to fully satisfy the demands f its consumers through innovation. Operations Management at Apple follows a ten-agenda policy referred to as ten decisions of OM. This Operation Management design is attained through synchronized efforts coming from all departments of this company. Through its Operations Management Apple has been able to increase its productivity and its global market size (Lewis, & Slack, 2003).  Operation Management involves a number of aspects that are always in line with the targets and the abilities of that particular firm. Examples of these particular aspects include utilization of resources, management of finances and quality control to name a few. In addition to this, Operations Management also helps most of the global companies come to a clear understanding of the international market and also the existing global trends. Therefore, Operations Management is one of the vital aspects when it comes to meeting the client’s needs. From the knowledge acquired in Operations, Management one can easily respond to a number of questions concerning this particular aspect. To begin with, Operations Management can help one respond to how productivity can be improved in an organization. Secondly, OM can help one answer the question on whether resources are well utilized, or they are wasted in an organization. In addition to answering the question on the utilization of resources, OM also answers on inefficiencies brought about by wastage of resources (Brown, 2001). In this particular case, I intended to use annual reports for purposes of research. This is due to the fact that annual reports indicate the cash inflows, cash outflows and the financial position of that particular company. Therefore, annual reports can be used to show the financial position of a company, its achievements, funding operations of the company and other factors such as market shares. Therefore, from the use of annual reports, one can be in a position to judge if a company applies Operations Management. In this particular topic, I was interested in knowing how companies are able to apply Operations Management in its day to day activities. In addition to this, I also wanted to know how Operations Management can be used to achieve the set goals and objectives of a company. Lastly, I wanted to know how Operations Management oversees the production process of a business and also the designing of these particular products. References Brown, S.
